There is an alarming phenomenon in mainstream Christianity. We don’t know how to share the gospel! Why can’t modern believers describe something we have experienced? Perhaps it is because we are conditioned to see the “I’s†(I prayed, I repented from sin, I am convicted of sin, I believe). What makes Jewish Insights Into Scripture so amazing is that we can see God’s workmanship (like sending angels)! These short essays let the scriptures speak to the audience (relevant historical context) as opposed to an audience manufactured to fit doctrine. Thank you!

Excellent, Easy-to-Understand Insights into Better Understanding the Word.I am a long time student of Jewish Roots, and have written a couple of books myself. This book is well worth reading. It requires no background, any believer can easily understand it; at the same time, those well acquainted with the Word (like pastors, professors, etc.) will also enjoy the read.Many of these insights can be found scattered elsewhere, but the author (not sure how I should refer to him) does a great job of bringing them together, as well as adding additional thoughts and clarifications. The chapters are brief, succinct, and leave you wanting more.Most of the insights he shared seem perfectly legitimate. His comments on Paul's restrictions on women, however, are quite a stretch. His reasoning that Paul refers to the Law to affirm his command limiting women from teaching, etc., does not refer to an exact quotation, but the teaching of the Torah. Priests were to teach the people. Priests had to be men.But other than that one caveat, I think this is an excellent book.

Dr. Eli is a Jewish Christian who has done & is doing a thorough study of the Bible in the original languages. He adds deeper understanding of the scriptures by going to the meaning from a Jewish understanding of the original language. Discussion with readers usually follows the article & this is interesting also. Be prepared though to be shocked & perhaps need to revise your ideas of conventional religion at times by the things he brings up pointing out that we have misinterpreted many things in the bible due to poor understanding of the background & plain mistranslation..
Just snippets of thought on this and that and some end so abruptly making them "head scratchers". His book 'The Jewish Gospel of John' was so profound, extraordinary, and wonderful, to the point of starting over to read again the moment you finish it. That's why I purchased this book. But this one just doesn't hold my interest. I turn the page expecting it to get better and it just doesn't for me. Honestly not even interested in finishing it. Perhaps my expectations were to high. Sorry, this is jut my opinion which doesn't count for very much anyway. We all think and feel differently.
This book should be owned b y every pastor. It contains insights that are invaluable when doing research on sermons. The true meaning of certain Hebrew words and how they apply add a new dimension to existing stories that we thought we knew. I rate this book as a high priority for your research collection.
Outstanding!!!!!!I highly recommend this book, written by Dr. Eli-Lizorkin-Eyzenberg.Dr. Eli-Lizorkin-Eyzenberg has given to us "Divine Rhema" in expounding on the sacred text, the Bible, with detailed focus with Jewish insights into the Holy Word. This book is first line upon line, precept upon precept, (Isa. 28:10), clear, and easy to understand which gives the biblical scholar, student or reader the knowledge to "rightly divide the Word of Truth", 2 Timothy 2:15. Even as Elisha prayed to God, "to open his servants eyes that he may see", this prayer manifested God's grace and mercy and allowed Elisha's servant to receive knowledge, understanding and confidence in the Divine Protection and Provision of the Almighty, even so, when reading this book, my spiritual knowledge and understanding of the scriptures is expanded to experience even a more intimate relationship, transitioning my faith from religion to relationship with the Almighty.Thank you Dr. Eyzenberg for your obedience to bring to Light, the hidden Truths contained in the scriptures, written in original language, (Hebrew), that we may continue to have access, confidence and Shalom with the Almighty."such knowledge is to high for me, it is High, I cannot attain to it" Psalms 139:6 (KJV).Thanks again for showing to us a more excellent way.......Apostle LaDorris KnowlesMemphis, TN (USA)
