The Easter Bunny brought this book to my girls, and now they think he is the BEST at picking out presents. My girls love Mickey and the gang, so I chose this book from the series. There are multiple lift the flap books of this style with different themes or characters, but each is very similar in style (flaps to help with teaching colors, numbers, shapes, animals, etc.). We have a couple of these books, and this is the kids' first choice thanks to the Mickey aspect. The book is fairly large with thicker pages that could bend but definitely are not prone to bending. The pages are glossy for easy cleanup. The tabs are difficult to open initially but once pulled they hold up well to opening and closing. I've had two kids using ours regularly and I don't think I have a single missing tab yet (albeit my kids tend to be pretty gentle with books). The pictures are bright and fun and the whole gang is on a wild trip to the beach. My 16 month old won't stop picking up this book to read. all day long, EVERY day. Therefore, her dad has now hid it on the counter because we are mean parents. My 3 year old is also a fan of these flap books even though there isn't as much of a story to it as normal books, I think she just likes to explore the pictures. It also gives me a chance to practice counting, etc. with her even though these books aren't really challenging to her anymore. I think every kid should have a lift the flap book of this sort because there are so many aspects of learning that these cover, even if it isn't this specific one. Regardless, this book met all my expectations on quality, has held up well, has a plot I can follow, and is a fan favorite per my kiddos so I give it 5 stars.
Well, it's MICKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My son is obsessed and this book is a LIFE SAVER. It has kept him entertained in some many situations that i needed him to be quiet or to calm down. The flaps are so fun and do not fall apart or tear like alot of books with these flaps do. The colors are vibrant, all the characters are there, and I think this book will be around our house for a while. I have to admit that the storyline is not super interesting, but that isn't really necessary with all the flaps and images and colors.
This book is fantastic! I purchased it in preparation for a flight from Portland, OR to Chicago, IL and I couldn't be more happy with how well entertained it kept my 2 year old daughter. There are SO many flaps to lift throughout the whole book; there's even a Toodles flap on each page to help them decide which mouseketool will be needed.Each page offers a different "subject"; such as- fruits/colors, shapes, animals, and counting. It's truly entertaining for the littles, but also for the adults. Watching your child giggle and discover and learn...priceless!I absolutely recommend this book- especially if you're traveling!
Really entertaining for 1.5-4 year olds who love mickey. My 22 month old who hates car rides will flip through the book for about 10-20 minutes. Good for long trips and trips to the supermarket! It has great little learning points of colors, shapes, numbers, etc... kinda the standard stuff. We have the Little People one too that my son liked, but Mickey and Minnie are all my 22 month old daughter really like right now.
I bought this book for my sons’ 2nd birthday in June. He absolutely loves it. On every page, there’s something different for children to learn. Shapes, numbers, animals, and more! The pages also seem pretty sturdy. However, I do wish the pages and flaps were thicker. He hasn’t torn any of the flaps yet though. The pages and flaps are thicker than normal paper, but thinner than a board book.
Our daughter loves these Disney lift the flap books, we have them all! At 2 1/2 years old, our daughter can recite numbers 1-10, knows 80% of the alphabet, and all her shapes and colors. These books have been excellent teaching tools with helping teach her basics, and they keep our toddler daughter engaged. We literally read them daily, they're her favorite!
My 2-year-old son LOVES this book. He wants us to read it to him every night before bed. The book tells a story, but each page has its own theme and subtly teaches colors, numbers, animals, etc. This was a birthday gift for him 3 months ago and the book has held up fairly well to the rough handling of a toddler. All of the flaps are still intact. I would recommend for any toddler who is a Mickey Mouse fan or who enjoys interactive books.
As my grandson loves to watch cars, trucks, motorcycles, delivery trucks out the window of his home. This just adds to the fun! Over 50 lift flaps in his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Trip book. I have reinenforeced every flap before I gave it to him, because opening the flaps get his excited. Seeing his smile as he goes through this books is heartwarming!
